"But I want him! I want him here!" she yelled. "FIND HIM!"

"Dude, chill out," Jessie scowled at Ivie. "Sera didn't do anything worth making you yell at her."

Seraphyna knew that Ivy could be very very nice, but right now, she was very very scary. She wanted to cower behind Odessa but she was afraid that Odessa wouldn't let her.

Rooted to the ground, she lowered her gaze and tried to hold in her tears.

Jessie glanced at Seraphyna.
"Ivie, you're being mean, she didn't do anything wrong."

"SHE WON'T GET MANFRED!"

Get Manfred? What does she mean by 'Get Manfred'. Poor Seraphyna, she was so confused she wasn't sure what to do.

Somehow, her mouth started to work and she stuttered, "I-I don't k-know what y-you're ta-talking about....."

"I JUST WANT SOMEONE TO FIND MANFRED FOR ME!!!" yelled Ivie.

Ivie wouldn't listen. Seraphyna didn't know what to do. Inside, she knew that she was horrified and she knew that it was a bad idea, but she nodded and dashed away to find Manfred.

Jessie followed.

"Who is Manfred?"

Seraphyna was very startled to see she had someone following her. "Um...well...Manfred is the son of the headmaster here." Seraphyna said in a small voice. "He's um...hot headed, I think I'll say...."

"Ah, well You don't have to be shy," Jessie smiled. "I won't judge you. Ever. I promise."^^

Seraphyna bowed her head. "But um...this is how I normally am...I don't know how to be a friend. No one has ever taught me and my mother never sees me."

She glanced up and caught a glimpse of Manfred turning the corner. She wanted to call out but two things held her back; one) the rules specifically stated that no one was to talk in the hall and two) she wasn't one to call out.

The only thing she could do was point towards Manfred's disappearing figure to Jessie and hope she understood that he was the person they were looking for.

"HEY YOU!" Jessie shouted at Manfred.

Seraphyna jumped so violently that she clutched her chest, heart beating wildly, an awestruck expression glued to her paling face. Beads of sweat rolled down her skin as she stared at Jessie in shock, and she threw a look of horrified anticipation towards Manfred, who had froze at the corner to slowly look at them with his furious, frightening eyes.

Even though she had just met Jessie, Seraphyna couldn't help but cling onto her arm in fright, cowering behind her.

"SOMEONE NEEDS YOU! SO GET OVER HERE!" she yellled.

"DOn't worry I won't let hm do anything to you, " she whispered to Sera.

Seraphyna's bottom lip quivered and she squeezed her eyes shut, holding onto Jessie's arm for dear life. This girl had guts. There was no doubt about it. She had guts, guts that Seraphyna had never dreamed of having.

Manfred stormed over.

"Who are you to tell me what to do?" he snapped, to Jessie.

"Well, you came over here," Jessie shrugged "So you didn't seem to question my authority."

Manfred stared at the girl for a while, his face turning white with sheer anger and then pink to red from the irony.

He looked her from toe to head and gave her a sneer. "Where is your uniform?"

"I believe the school uniform is limiting the self expression of me and other students," she shruged. "So I didn't wear it."

"The uniforms expresses unity." Manfred said hotly, his nostrils flaring. "It is required. Detention, for disobeying the rules and being out of uniform. And you."

Manfred snapped his attention on Seraphyna coldly. "Detention for you too, as you failed to inform this insolent girl about the rules."

"Hey, hey, hey, why punish her? She hasn't said a word since I met her," alright so she's said a little bit she thought but why tell him that? "She would have been to shy to even talk to me, how could she tell me what the rules are?"

Manfred didn't like this girl. She was too talkative. Too defiant. Too rebellious. She was even worse than that Bone kid.

"Do you dare defy me?" Manfred asked quietly, dangerously.

"Yes as a matter of fact I do," she said, glaring at him calmly.

Manfred scowled at her. "My office. Now. And Fletcher, back to class. I'll deal with you later."

"Fine then," she mumbled followng him.

Manfred led the girl to his office and told her to sit down. Then he eyed Jesse with a snarl. "You will be needing a uniform and you will be serving even more detentions if you don't obey the rules."

"Make me," she snarled back.
